Project Overview

The project demonstrates the complete renovation of a four-room apartment located on the fifth floor of an elegant 1980s building in Milan’s trendy CityLife district. The intervention transformed a traditionally compartmentalized space into a contemporary home that maximizes functionality while meeting the needs of a modern family with two teenage children.

Creative Solution

The project perfectly balances functionality and refinement, creating a welcoming and sophisticated atmosphere.

Bathroom Redesign:

  • Three complete bathrooms (one per child plus master)
  • Master en-suite bathroom
  • Main bathroom with curved corner shower and wall-mounted toilet with bidet spray
  • Expanded laundry room with: Integrated seating niche in shower, Waterfall shower effect, Rain shower head, Custom-made storage unit with integrated sink

Living Area Transformation:

  • Corner kitchen embedded in plasterboard with integrated lighting
  • Kitchen with concealed worktop and mini-bar
  • Central island equipped with cooktop, integrated retractable hood, sink, and dishwasher
  • Separate dining area with centrally positioned table overlooking the CityLife towers
  • Living area with sofa, armchairs, and equipped TV wall

Layout Redesign:

  • Opening up entrance towards living room
  • Corridor space optimization with hidden storage
  • Integration of load-bearing columns into decorative elements
  • Creation of three distinct bedroom spaces

Night Zone:

  • Creation of a suite with walk-in closet
  • Scenic lighting with ceiling coves
  • Decorative wallpaper behind the bed headboard

  • Calacatta marble-effect porcelain 60×120 cm polished stoneware flooring
  • High-quality MDF for custom bathroom, bedroom, and kitchen furniture
  • Glass shelving for illuminated niches
  • Flush-mounted doors for storage units

Color Palette:

  • Grey: Accent elements (shower walls, en-suite bathroom, entrance niche, living room feature wall)
  • Ivory: All vertical walls throughout the apartment
  • White: for the doors, kitchen cabinets, and wardrobes in the corridors.
